These beautiful chandeliers are made of rye straw, paper discs and colourful tissue paper. They are made to decorated the house and bring happiness and good fortune to the owner.
By using different colours and techniques to fold the paper, every pajak becomes a unique piece of art. You will learn how to build the structure of the chandelier and different ways to create beautiful paper flowers and pompoms which are the centrepiece of every pajak.
All material included.
Paula Hartman is a self-taught pajaki maker, crafter and pompom enthusiast. Her love for mobiles, colours and installations brought her to study the art of pajaki making which originated in rural Poland in the mid 19th century. Paula has given workshops in Germany and Canada to revive this old craft tradition and hand down beautiful techniques that otherwise would get lost to the next generation.
