Located in the heart of uptown Elora, common craft is a hub for creative exchange with a multi-use art studio offering a wide range of workshops for adults and juniors of all ages and skill levels. Dedicated to fostering creative commerce, the space also houses the innovative elbow room pop-up shop and hosts a curated night market highlighting the works and wares of emerging and established artists, makers, and vintage collectors.
With a background in Craft & Design from Sheridan and Niagara College, the Banff Centre for the Arts and Harbourfront Centre Craft Studios, Bear Epp has worked in the creative industry for over three decades as an artist, Creative Director of ECFTA, and Co-Director of the Black Sheep Festival of Contemporary Textile Art. She currently sits on the board of the Elora BIA. As founder of common craft, she is dedicated to connecting community through creative exchange.
common craft is also home to Studio Kampina, the boutique and workshop of fashion designer Jacquelyn van Kampen whose one-of-a-kind pieces are designed, tailored and upcycled from carefully considered vintage and secondhand attire.
